In the attempts to protest against her RA, freshman Carly Smith failed to show up to her floor meeting in 2nd floor Jennings this past Monday.
Her absence from the meeting is being taken very seriously and several authority figures have been brought in to deal with the matter.
Those brought in to question the criminal for her violation of the American Constitution, consisted of UFPD, GPD, President Obama, and Smith’s mother.
Housing was not expecting UFPD’s arrival to the scene, given that their track record shows during serious matters they’re usually occupied giving out jaywalking tickets, but their representative stated they are giving this case the utmost importance.
Smith informed UF Housing and the authorities that she purposely missed the mandatory floor meeting because she was angry with her RA for writing her up for a noise violation during quiet hours.
“My music wasn’t even above 50 octaves! Jimmy from across the hall is so lame,”
Smith said,
“Who tries to sleep at 3AM on a Wednesday night anyway? He’s honestly so inconsiderate.”
After several complaints from “Jimmy, from across the hall” and other residents, Smith’s RA was forced to rain on her parade and asked her to turn down her “90’s Throwback” Spotify playlist.
Unfortunately, Smith attempted to bribe her RA with offers of the Fireball she kept in her mini fridge and the $5 check she received from her grandmother and her RA, English major Annie Letterback, was forced to file an official complaint against Smith.
When asked if she realized the seriousness of skipping a floor meeting, Smith responded “No.”
Authorities decided that Smith’s argument was valid and let all charges against her go.
“Your RA is always so ‘cool’ the first day you move in,”
Smith said,
“They usually let you know that they throw get-togethers for the floor with drinks and food. But then the “get-togethers” are actually just forced meetings with stale tortilla chips and reruns of ABC Family.”
When asked if she learned anything from this experience Smith told reporters that she was just excited to live in a real apartment, when she moves to Lakeside next year.
