We have received inside reports that a UF alumni and father of a current student is already causing a scene while tailgating for the rivalry game. Following is a live account of the developing story brought to us by the son:

7:10 am – Dad pulls RV into Hume parking lot. Looks like there are FSU fans mixed in. Uh oh.

7:11 am – Dad cracks open first beer.

8:30 am – Dad running around knocking on other RV windows so that they can “get up AND TAILGATE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

9:14 am – Dad still playing cornhole by himself. Looks like he made it into a drinking game too.

10:47 am – Other fans start to come out.  Some guy actually playing cornhole with Dad.

11:35 am – Oh god, Dad and his new friends are all hammered and want lunch. Begin the walk to midtown.

12:27 pm – They’ve arrived at T Flats. Barely got past some cops but I covered for him.

12:35 pm – Yep, he’s hitting on the waitress.

12:50 pm – Done eating, Dad still wants to hang around and hit on the waitress some more.

1:10 pm – Wow, he got her number. On to a bar now.

1:25 pm – In Balls, Dad wants to fight an FSU dad now. Great.

1:35 pm – They actually fought, no one won. Heading back to RV because mom needs to bandage him before the game.

2:26 pm – Dad starts chanting “It’s Great to be a Florida Gator” on way back. Only one person joins in, Mom gives him dirty look.

4:58 pm – Dad taking “a quick nap” before the game.
